Governor — Wisconsin · First run

David Crowley

Milwaukee County's first African American county executive suspended his campaign in July, re-entered with Gov. Tony Evers' endorsement, and won the August 11 primary by about 3,000 votes. He faces Rep. Tom Tiffany for the open governor's seat in a race forecasters now lean Democratic.

On the ballot against Tom Tiffany (R)

Why it matters: Wisconsin's governor's seat is open because Gov. Tony Evers declined to seek re-election, and Cook rates the race a toss-up.
