Everything The GOP Files publishes may be reprinted free of charge with a credit line. Our race lists and Race Tracker drop into any site with one line of code.
Republishing terms
You may republish any story on this site, in print or online, free of charge, under these terms:
- Credit us. Keep the credit line "This article first appeared on The GOP Files" with its link to the original story, at the top or the bottom of the piece. Online, the link must stay a working hyperlink.
- Do not sell it. You may not sell our stories or charge for access to them; running them on a page with your own advertising is fine.
- Edit only for length and style. Shorten, fix house style and localize the headline if you like; do not change the meaning, add claims, or present the piece as your own reporting.
- Photos are separate. Our photos come from Wikimedia Commons and other free-license sources, and each carries its own license under it; check that license before you reuse a photo, or run the text alone.
- Keep the pixel. The one-pixel image in the HTML tells our newsroom the story ran. It stores no reader data (see our privacy page).
- Corrections travel. If we correct a story, we note it at the top of the original; please carry the correction if you can.
Every story page has a Republish this story box under the share buttons with the HTML ready to copy: for example Final-weekend pitches center on prices as polls show deep unhappiness with the economy. For a newsletter, paste the text and keep the credit line and link.
Embed a race list on your site
Every U.S. Senate, governor and U.S. House race on a state's ballot, with the Democrat running in each and the latest Cook rating, updated by our newsroom. Pick your state and paste the code where you want the list to appear (a page builder's "HTML" or "Embed" block).
The credit line under the frame is part of the embed; please keep it.

The closest Senate, governor and House races with their public polling averages (latest poll per pollster over 30 days, from 270toWin's listings), updated several times a day.
