Abdul El-Sayed, campaigning for Michigan's Senate race at a Detroit event with Barack Obama, asks the crowd if the last two years have been "amazing." He points to grocery prices, hours cut over the tariff war with Canada, and lost doctor access under the "big ugly bill," then says life has been amazing for Donald Trump and for Mike Rogers, whose data center investments he says have "made him quite a bit, I'm sure."

So Detroit, let me ask you, have the last two years been amazing? Has it been amazing when you're trying to afford a second pound of ground beef at the grocery store? Has it been amazing when your boss tells you they're cutting back your hours because of the tariff war with Canada? Has it been amazing when you can't see a doctor because of this big ugly bill? Has it been amazing when you pump your gas? But I guess if If your Mike Rogers or Donald Trump, I guess life has been amazing. Trump made another $2 .2 billion off the presidency.
