U.S. House — Colorado's 3rd District · First run

Dwayne Romero

Dwayne Romero is a former Aspen city councilmember, former state economic development director and Army combat veteran who won the June 30 Democratic primary over Alex Kelloff. He faces Republican incumbent Jeff Hurd in a district Republicans have held since 2011, and national Democrats added him to the Red to Blue program on Oct. 5.

On the ballot against Jeff Hurd (R)

Why it matters: National House Democrats added Hurd's seat to their target list in August 2026, and the district has been Republican since 2011.
