U.S. House — Colorado's 5th District · First run

Jessica Killin

Jessica Killin is an Army veteran and former chief of staff to Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff. She won the June 2026 Democratic primary and faces Republican Rep. Jeff Crank in a district that has never elected a Democrat, with her campaign's own polling showing a close race.

On the ballot against Jeff Crank (R)

Why it matters: The 5th District has elected only Republicans since 1972, and the Gazette reports the race could be the closest ever there, in a year when generic ballot polls show Democrats running well ahead of their usual level.
