U.S. House — Florida's 13th District · First run

Leela Gray

Leela Gray is a retired Army brigadier general and attorney who won the Democratic primary on August 18, 2026 with about 65% of the vote. She is challenging Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna in a district Florida Republicans redrew to Trump +13 on 2024 results, and forecasters still favor Republicans.

On the ballot against Anna Paulina Luna (R)

Why it matters: Democrats see the redrawn, Republican-leaning Tampa Bay seat as a possible flip, and the DCCC added Gray to its Red to Blue program, while forecasters such as the University of Virginia's Kyle Kondik still favor Republicans.
