On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jimmy Kimmel's monologue plays a clip of Donald Trump being asked whether he would endorse Vice President JD Vance if Vance runs for president. Trump says Vance hasn't talked to him about it and it's too early, while calling him "a very capable guy" who's "doing a good job." Kimmel's bit jokes that Trump will never endorse anyone.

In 2028, this morning, Trump was asked whether he would back his vice president, JD Vance, if he runs. And he dodged that question like it was the war in Vietnam. I have a question. If he runs for president, would he endorse it? Well, he hasn't even talked to me about that. And it's too early to think about it. But I can tell you, I like him a lot. He's a very capable guy. He's doing a good job. He's out there rallying also. And I do like him a lot and I like a lot of people. Many of them much more than I like JD. Let me tell you something, Donald Trump is never gonna give it up. He will endorse no one for president. He's gonna grab a blow torch and a big can of Aquanet from his medicine cabinet. And he's gonna light that whole White House on fire when he goes.
