Abdul El-Sayed, in an interview on American Conversations with Heather Cox Richardson, says he has done 600-plus public events in 110 cities across his state. He accuses Mike Rogers, JD Vance and Donald Trump of pitting Americans against each other with culture wars while they "pick our pocket," and alleges Rogers left office and made $14 million advising corporations he had been regulating just before.

And here's the thing about it. I've been all over my state now, I don't know, how many times I've done 600 plus public events, 110 different cities. And Americans are big, we're open -hearted, we're thoughtful, we're gritty and we're earnest. We just don't want to be taken advantage of by people who want to pick our pocket, who want to exploit us. And that's exactly what Mike Rogers and JD Vance and Donald Trump have made their politics about to pit us against each other, to tell us why some people can or cannot belong, and then while they're doing that, to use this culture war that they're pitting us off on each other on, to go and pick our pocket, whether it's the Trumps flying around and their private jets to extort foreign dignitaries or corporate CEOs, or it's Mike Rogers who corrupted his office by leaving and making $14 million, and dollars advising the very same corporations he was regulating just before.
