At the Maine U.S. Senate debate, Troy Jackson responds to Senator Collins saying she voted against it nine times but didn't have the votes. He argues that's why Democrats need control of the U.S. Senate to stop the war and check Donald Trump, and says Collins could stop the funding through appropriations but won't stand up to Trump.

And, you know, Senator Collins says that, you know, she voted against it nine times, but she didn't have the votes. Well, that sounds like then we probably ought to have Democrats in charge of the U .S. Senate so that we have the votes to stop this war. They hold Donald Trump in check because it sounds like the Republicans won't do that. They're totally giving up. Their job is being a check and balance on Donald Trump. And I would say the one other thing about that too is like, you know, Senator Collins would like to school us on how This all works. Well, I know very well how appropriations works and if she wants to stop the funding for it She has the ability to stop the funding for it But she's not willing to because she will not stand up against Donald Trump and Senator Collins will let you respond to that Then we'll move on to other issues.
