At an election night rally in Iowa, Josh Turek says he was told it was impossible to win his Western Iowa district as a Democrat, and impossible to win this Senate race. He then lays out his vision: families who don't need two or three jobs, farmers who can keep their land, and a healthcare system where "where you live doesn't determine if you live."

They told me it was impossible to win my Western Iowa district as a Democrat when we proved them wrong then. And they told me it was impossible to win this Senate race. But tonight Iowa, we have once again proved that the impossible is possible. So now Iowa, let us be the city on a hill. The Iowa that we grew up in, that was the envy of the nation, where a mom and a dad don't have to work two to three jobs just to keep food on the table and gas in the tank. Where our farmers can afford to keep working the land their grandfathers did, and where every Iowa child has access to world -class education. Where we fix our broken healthcare system, so where you live doesn't determine if you live. Where are young people want to and can afford to stay in Iowa?
