At an election night rally in Baltimore, Mayor Brandon Scott calls Wes Moore the first Black man to be Maryland's governor and a partner who stood up for the city. Scott credits him with helping make Baltimore safer than it has been in 50 years and with cutting vacant housing to the lowest level in Scott's lifetime. Across the country and across Maryland, we are on our way to re -electing a man here in Baltimore, the first black man to be the governor of this great state, my good friend, Westmore, a governor who actually stands up for the city rather than wiping it off the mat like it didn't exist, a governor that has been a partner in making Baltimore safer than it has been in 50 years. And governor that has been a partner in making sure that we have the lowest amount of vacant housing than we've had in my lifetime. Tonight we are tearing down the power structure that Trump and his enablers are using to take our rights away, to tear around our neighbors, and for them the most important to enrich themselves.
