In a clip played on MS NOW's The Weekend, Attorney General Todd Blanche answers Rep. Robert Garcia's "lawyer up" message after Stephen Miller was promoted to White House chief of staff. Garcia says it won't deter him: Blanche is the lawyer for the Department of Justice and the people of this country, not for Miller or the president.

It's so disgusting to see them not even wait till the week is out before actually laying their cards on the table. I mean, you have Garcia saying minutes after Stephen Miller was promoted to be the chief of staff to the president of the United States of America telling him to lawyer up. Well, I'll tell you what, Stephen Miller has a lawyer. It's me. It's me in the entire Department of Justice. Not sure that's how it works. That's not how it works. The Attorney General of the United States is not the personal lawyer of the incoming White House Chief of Staff. Does that deter you in any way from whatever investigations that you might take up? Absolutely not. First of all, Todd Blanch is not Stephen Miller's lawyer. And he's not the lawyer of the president, even though in his head that's where he wants to be. At the end of the day, he's the lawyer for the Department of Justice and the people of this country. And it's shameful that he goes out and defense Stephen Miller this way.
