U.S. House — Florida's 14th District

Kathy Castor

Kathy Castor is a Tampa Democrat who has served in the U.S. House since 2007 and is seeking reelection in a district Florida Republicans redrew. The redrawn 14th would have backed Donald Trump by about 10 points in 2024, and a July poll showed Castor ahead of Republican Mike Beltran 46% to 38%.

On the ballot against Mike Beltran (R)

Why it matters: Tampa Bay 28 reports that Beltran calls the seat part of the route to the House majority, and Ballotpedia notes it is one of 23 Democratic-held districts Trump won in 2024.
