U.S. House — Florida's 9th District

Darren Soto

Darren Soto is a Kissimmee Democrat seeking a sixth term in the U.S. House. Florida's mid-decade redistricting made his seat more Republican, and he says polls show a dead heat with Republican Dan Green, a Navy veteran and former Trump Pentagon official.

On the ballot against Dan Green (R)

Why it matters: Soto says the seat could help decide which party controls the House next year, and he argues the new map was unconstitutional.
