Abdul El-Sayed, in an interview on Breaking Points, says people tell him it costs 80 bucks to fill up and they don't know if they can still afford ground beef for their kids. He says Donald Trump is more interested in ballroom drapes and what El-Sayed's name is than the war, the tariff war with Canada and healthcare losses under the "big ugly bill." He adds that Michigan regulators just approved another double-digit premium increase and another utility rate hike.

I mean, people are looking at this and saying, it cost me 80 bucks to fill up my tank. I don't know if I'm going to be able to have enough to buy two pounds of ground beef, which is what I needed if I mix it with enough hamburger helper. Maybe I'll be able to stretch it for another couple of days for my kids. People are worried about the fact that right now it feels like nobody actually cares about them. Look at Donald Trump. He's more interested in the drapes in a ballroom or what my name is rather than and talking about why he got us into a war he can't get us out of, and why we're having a tariff war with Canada and why the big ugly bill is stripping people away from their healthcare. You know, here in Michigan, we just watched our regulators approve another double digit increase in premiums. We watched another approval for a rate hike in utilities. And that just is the part for the course now for the last couple of years. And people are asking, I don't know that I can continue to make things work. And that's really, really frustrating folks.
