In a Scripps News interview, DNC chair Ken Martin says Democrats have "never had a midterm election like this." He credits strong candidates, DNC investment in infrastructure and volunteers who turned out the vote. This was the best midterm election in the history of the Democratic Party over the last hundred and ninety -eight years. We have never had a midterm election like this. And it was a result of terrific candidates. It was a result of investments in infrastructure by the DNC and others. It was a result of hardworking Americans, volunteers and activists who rolled up their sleeves and got out there and turned out the vote. Most importantly it was the result as I said of Americans being frustrated by this administration's refusal to actually prioritize their needs ahead of the needs of the billionaires and trillionaires in this country.
