Bill Clinton, speaking at a Democratic rally in Tupelo, calls it one of Trump's "ego projects." He says the arch would block the view of Arlington National Cemetery, must be bigger than the Arc de Triomphe and named for Trump, and that Trump's new reason is drone defense: "I'm going to store the drones in the arch."

the corruption, the ego projects. I saw where the other day, you know, he wants to build an arch over the bridge that will block the view of Arlington National Cemetery from the other side of the street. And, you know, it costs a ton of money because for him it has to be a bigger than the arc of triumph in Paris and B, name for him. So he came up with a new reason the other day he said well I have to do this because we have to be competitive in drone defense and so I'm going to store the drones in the arch and go figure.
