Governor Lamont, on Debate Night in Connecticut on WTNH News8, says the old Bush Republicans would be outraged by the war, deficit spending and pulling the plug on Revolution Wind after it was approved three times. He then notes that his primary opponent attacked him for refusing to raise taxes, while his current opponent says all he does is raise taxes. "Maybe these two guys should have a debate," he says.

I don't know what happened to the Republicans in the state. The old Republicans, the Bush Republicans, would have stand up. They'd be outraged. They'd be outraged by this war. They'd be outraged by deficit spending. They'd be outraged by the fact that you're pulling the plug and revolution win after you've approved it three times. When it comes to me, look, I had a primary. Maybe a lot of Democrats didn't think I was very good. You know, I had, the Guy ran against me saying, oh, Lamont refuses to raise taxes. Now I'm running against a guy saying, oh, Lamont, all he does is raise taxes. Maybe these two guys should have a debate and then come in and tell me what they've decided.
